How much does a plumber's website cost?

What plumbing businesses pay for a website, based on real published prices, and which pages and features are worth paying for. Written by Bildz, a website service for small businesses.

Prices checked October 25–26, 2026. Last updated October 26, 2026.

The short answer

A straightforward plumbing website of about five pages typically costs $500 to $1,500 upfront plus hosting, or $75 to $299 a month with no upfront fee, based on published prices we checked in October 2026.

A larger site with a separate page for each service and service area, up to about ten pages, costs $1,000 to $4,900 upfront.

Most plumbers don't need anything complicated. Customers looking for a plumber usually want three things fast: what you fix, whether you cover their area and how to reach you, often from a phone in the middle of a problem. A small, clear website does that well.

What a plumber's website needs

  • A tap-to-call button at the top of every page on mobile. Many plumbing customers call rather than fill in a form, especially for urgent jobs.
  • Your services, listed plainly: repairs, installations, drain cleaning, water heaters, renovations, and whether you take emergency calls.
  • Emergency availability and hours, stated clearly. If you offer after-hours service, say when and how to reach you.
  • Your service area: the towns and neighbourhoods you cover, so customers outside it don't waste a call and customers inside it know you'll come.
  • Trust details: your trade certification, any licence numbers that apply to your work, insurance and any warranty on workmanship.
  • Reviews, ideally quoted from your Google Business Profile, plus a link to it.
  • A quote or service request form for non-urgent jobs, with room for the customer to describe the problem.

That usually fits in five pages: Home, Services, About (with your credentials), Reviews and Contact.

Each provider includes different things, such as copywriting, SEO or changes made for you. See the three-year cost comparison and its assumptions.

Over three years, the entry options for a small site ranged from about $1,700 to $10,800 in our check, and most landed between $1,700 and $6,700.

What adds cost for plumbers

  • A page for every service and town. Separate pages for drain cleaning, water heaters and each community you serve can help you show up in local searches, but they can double or triple the page count.
  • Online booking. If you use job management software with a booking form, adding it to your website may cost extra. Ask whether a provider can link to it or embed it.
  • Copywriting. Having someone write your service descriptions for you is often an add-on.
  • Ongoing SEO and ads. These are marketing services, usually billed monthly on top of the website.
  • Hourly changes. Plumbers' hours, service areas and promotions change. If each change is billed by the hour, the website keeps costing you after launch.

What you can skip

  • Online store. You're selling a service, not shipping products.
  • Blog. It's optional. A clear services page and good reviews do more for most plumbers than occasional blog posts.
  • Complex animation or custom features. They slow the site down on phones and don't help customers call you.

Where Bildz fits

Bildz designs a standard website of up to five pages for accepted applicants at no design cost, which covers the pages most plumbers need. You review the finished site before committing. If you keep it, the plan is CA$27/month plus applicable taxes after a 30-day free trial you choose to activate, with hosting included. That's about $945 over three years.

Changes are self-service: describe them in plain English, like "We now cover Lake Country" or "Add water heater installation to our services", and review the update before it goes live.

Bildz may not suit you if you want a person to make every change, need more than five pages for individual services and towns, or need extensive booking or software integrations. Bildz reviews every application and may decline projects that aren't a good fit. Full details are on the free website offer page.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a website for a plumbing business cost?

In our October 2026 check of published prices, a plumbing website of about five pages cost $500 to $1,500 upfront plus hosting, or $75 to $299 a month with no upfront fee. A larger site of up to ten pages cost $1,000 to $4,900 upfront.

How many pages does a plumber's website need?

Five pages covers most plumbing businesses: Home, Services, About, Reviews and Contact. Add separate pages for individual services or towns if you want to target those searches, but they add cost.

Do plumbers need a website if they have a Google Business Profile?

A Google Business Profile is essential, but it's limited. A website lets you explain your services, service area, credentials and emergency availability in your own words, and gives customers who find you elsewhere a place to check you out.

What should a plumber's website include for emergency calls?

A tap-to-call button that's visible on every page on a phone, clear after-hours availability, and your service area. Customers with an urgent problem want to know quickly whether you can help and how to reach you.
